ACS Anurag Bajpai Reviews Ongoing Works at Inter-State Bus Terminal, Imphal

Additional Chief Secretary (Transport/TCI) Shri Anurag Bajpai on Tuesday inspected the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Imphal to review the ongoing ground levelling and cleanliness operations being carried out by the Public Works Department, MAHUD, and other related agencies.

The inspection follows his earlier visit to the ISBT on October 28, 2025, during which Shri Bajpai directed multiple departments—including Transport, PWD, Forest, MAHUD, Horticulture, and MANIDCO—to work in coordination to develop the ISBT into a modern and efficient transport hub.

During the visit, the ACS expressed appreciation for the agencies assisting with machinery and manpower in the levelling and cleaning works. He, however, raised concerns over unauthorized kutcha structures and obstructed drains within the terminal premises.

After a detailed review, Shri Bajpai instructed all concerned departments and agencies to work in close coordination and ensure that all essential works are completed to make the ISBT fully operational by November 2025.

He was accompanied by the Director (Transport) and senior officials from various departments during the inspection.
