Governor Meets MLAs, Reviews Security Amidst Law-and-Order Concerns
A delegation of MLAs met the Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today to discuss the prevailing law-and-order situation in the state. The MLAs urged the Governor to intervene and help bring an amicable solution to the unrest.
According to an official release from the Governor’s Secretariat, the Governor assured the delegation that all necessary steps are being taken to address the concerns raised and to restore normalcy in the region.
Following the meeting with the MLAs, the Governor chaired a high-level security review meeting with senior administrative and security officials. The session involved a detailed discussion on the current situation and measures being taken across the state.

Officials present at the meeting included the Security Advisor, Director General of Police (DGP), Commissioner (Home), Secretary to the Governor, Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South), Inspector General of CRPF, and other senior officers.
The review comes amidst mounting tensions and widespread public concern following recent arrests and subsequent protests in parts of the valley region.
