New Delhi, December 08, 2024: Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh is set to embark on an official visit to the Russian Federation from December 08 to 10, 2024. During his stay, he will co-chair the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) alongside Russian Defence Minister Mr. Andrey Belousov in Moscow on December 10.<\/p>\n

The discussions will cover the full spectrum of defence collaboration between the two nations, including military-to-military ties and industrial cooperation. The leaders will also share perspectives on regional and global matters of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

A highlight of the visit will be the commissioning of the Indian Navy’s new multi-role stealth guided missile frigate, INS Tushil. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 09 at the Yantra Shipyard in Kaliningrad. Shri Rajnath Singh will be joined by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi for this significant event.<\/p>\n

In addition, Shri Rajnath Singh will pay homage to Soviet soldiers who lost their lives in World War II by laying a wreath at \u2018The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier\u2019 in Moscow. He is also scheduled to meet members of the Indian community during his visit.<\/p>\n
