Security forces on Thursday dismantled illegal check posts and bunkers at Gamliphai, along National Highway-102 (Imphal-Dimapur), between Kanglatombi and Kangpokpi in Kangpokpi district.<\/p>\n
The operation, which began around 4 am and continued until 9 am, was carried out using bulldozers. According to a police report, six suspected Kuki Village Volunteers were apprehended after members of the Kuki-Zo community staged a protest against the demolition drive.<\/p>\n
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the concerned police station for further legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
