Guwahati, Assam, March 25, 2025 \u2013 Mangka Mayanglambam, a celebrated folk singer and educator from Manipur, fondly known as the “Manipuri Folk Princess,” has been awarded the prestigious Women\u2019s Achiever Award 2025 by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya. The accolade was presented during the Annual Award Ceremony organized by FLO Northeast, the women\u2019s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), on March 21 at the Vivanta Hotel in Guwahati.<\/p>\n

The event, which celebrated the remarkable contributions of women across various fields, highlighted Mangka\u2019s unwavering dedication to preserving and promoting traditional Manipuri art and culture through her music. FLO Northeast, a key chapter of FICCI\u2019s women\u2019s wing, has been a driving force in empowering women for over 40 years. These efforts aim to provide women\u2014from grassroots artisans to business professionals\u2014with the tools to contribute to inclusive economic growth and societal development.<\/p>\n

The ceremony also honored other notable women, including Moirangthem Muktamani Devi from Manipur for her entrepreneurial achievements, Minakshi Chetia from Assam for her work as a social worker under the ASHA program, and Meenakshi Das from Assam for her inspiring journey as a biker. Additionally, the FLO Trailblazer Awards 2025 recognized figures like Olympic medalist Lovlina Borgohain for her sporting achievements and Barsha Rani, who was named the Pride of Assam.<\/p>\n
