Kanpur, April 16: Emphasising unity and equality, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday declared that every Hindu, irrespective of caste, has equal rights over temples, cremation grounds, and public water sources such as wells, taps, and ponds.<\/p>\n
Speaking to RSS workers during his visit to Kanpur, Bhagwat highlighted that no caste has been left behind in contributing to the nation\u2019s progress or enduring its crises. \u201cAll castes have produced great personalities. Many of our workers have worked together for decades without knowing each other\u2019s caste\u2014this is the strength and uniqueness of the Sangh,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He reaffirmed that social harmony (Samrasta) is not just an initiative but a way of life for RSS volunteers. As part of the Sangh\u2019s centenary celebrations, Bhagwat shared plans to spread this message to villages across India.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the day, he met with senior swayamsevaks engaged in the social harmony wing, receiving updates from regional head Ravi Shankar. Later, he visited the Ram-Janki Temple Park, observing four shakhas and engaging with 125 students participating in physical activities and traditional games.<\/p>\n
As the park rang with patriotic chants like \u201cBharat Mata ki Jai\u201d and \u201cJai Mahakali,\u201d Bhagwat spent an hour guiding and encouraging young volunteers, further reinforcing the Sangh\u2019s mission of building a unified and caste-free Hindu society.<\/p>\n
