In a remarkable achievement, Yaifabi Sapam has secured the second position in the Commerce stream in the Higher Secondary Examination 2025 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM). A student of T.G Higher Secondary School, Yaifabi scored an impressive 434 marks.<\/p>\n
Hailing from Sapam Laibung in Thoubal district, Yaifabi is the eldest of three siblings. She lives with her parents, S. Ayingbi Devi and S. Chinglen Singh. Her father is a private school teacher who also takes up various part-time jobs to support the family, while her mother is a homemaker. Yaifabi\u2019s success has brought immense pride and joy to her family.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to her parents and teachers, crediting them for her achievement. \u201cMy parents made a lot of sacrifices and my teachers guided me throughout. I expected a rank between third and fifth, but securing second place has exceeded my expectations,\u201d she said with a smile.<\/p>\n
What makes Yaifabi\u2019s journey even more noteworthy is her unconventional career choice. While many toppers aim for traditionally \u2018respectable\u2019 government positions, she dreams of becoming an entrepreneur. \u201cI want to create something of my own and make a difference,\u201d she said confidently.<\/p>\n
She plans to pursue further studies at D.M. College of Commerce. Yaifabi also addressed the bias some students have against government schools. \u201cThere is no difference between private and government schools. I chose T.G Higher Secondary because I believed in it,\u201d she stated. She acknowledged that the residential coaching programme conducted by the Education Department of Manipur played a significant role in her success.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on the current situation in the state, Yaifabi voiced concern over the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur. \u201cStudents are the future of our state. The violence is affecting our education and peace. I urge the authorities to resolve the conflict at the earliest,\u201d she appealed.<\/p>\n
Her father, S. Chinglen Singh, extended his thanks to the teachers of T.G Higher Secondary School for guiding his daughter toward excellence. \u201cHer success is a shared victory of our family and her educators,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
