Imphal, April 30: The Manipur Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a case involving the circulation of fake appointment letters for various posts in the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat.<\/p>\n
According to a press release issued by the Manipur Police control room on Tuesday evening, the arrested persons have been identified as Salam Premila Chanu (42), a resident of Singjamei Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai, Imphal West, and Laishram Rocky Singh (40), a resident of Palace Compound, Imphal East. The duo was apprehended on Monday and has been remanded into police custody for further investigation.<\/p>\n
The case surfaced after a vernacular daily reported the alleged issuance of fake results and appointment letters dated April 27 for regular posts including Supervisor (1), MTS (5), FA (2), LDC (1), and \u2018Accounted\u2019 (1) in the legislative assembly secretariat.<\/p>\n
