New Delhi, May 21, 2025 \u2014 Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his recent remark describing Operation Sindoor as a \u201csporadic war,\u201d terming it an insult to the armed forces and a reflection of Congress\u2019s \u201canti-national mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mr. Pradhan said, \u201cThis is not a mistake, but the mentality of Congress, in which family devotion has always been above patriotism.\u201d He accused Kharge of continuing a legacy of questioning the nation\u2019s military actions, referencing past controversies over the surgical strikes in Uri and the Balakot airstrike.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuch statements reveal the Congress party\u2019s ideological emptiness and its persistent indifference towards national security. Today\u2019s Congress is neither Indian in ideology nor in behaviour,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n
Mr. Pradhan alleged that the Congress\u2019s narrative echoed sentiments aligned with Pakistan and highlighted a broader crisis within the party. \u201cWhen India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership, is asserting its strength globally and securing its borders, Congress seems more interested in appeasing Pakistan than standing by our armed forces,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He further said that the public is taking note of who supports the Indian Army and who \u201cspeaks in Pakistan\u2019s tune.\u201d<\/p>\n
