The Manipur Police have issued a clarification denying social media reports that claimed security forces opened fire on farmers in the Chanung area.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, both Yaingangpokpi Police Station and Sagolmang Police Station have confirmed that no such incident has been reported by any security agency, including 4 Mahar, which is currently deployed in and around the area.<\/p>\n
The police informed that further inquiries are underway to verify the facts, but as of now, there is no confirmation of any firing incident.<\/p>\n
