A one-day soft skill workshop on the theme \u201cShe Leads; Strengthening Soft Skills for Stronger Leadership\u201d<\/strong> was held today at the Conference Hall of DSSS, Mantripukhri, Imphal. The event was organized by the Naga Women\u2019s Union and sponsored by the Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW).<\/p>\n

The workshop was chaired by Th. Tiningpham Monsang, Chairperson, MSCW, along with Smt. W. Phajatombi Devi (MCS), Member Secretary, MSCW, and Additional Director, IPR, Manipur. Other presidium members included Sk. Sophia, T. Chuongsin Koireng, and Lourembam Dayabati, all Members of MSCW, and Ch. Priscilla Thuimai, President, Naga Women\u2019s Union.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the programme, Chairperson Th. Tiningpham Monsang emphasized that leadership is an innate quality rather than a subject taught in classrooms. She said true leaders are guided by wisdom and clarity, drawing inspiration from the Almighty. Highlighting the expectations placed upon women leaders, she encouraged participants to gain as much knowledge as possible from such workshops, as they represent and inspire thousands of women in their communities.<\/p>\n

She also underlined the importance of understanding the constitutional provisions for women\u2019s protection and empowerment, noting that many of these rights remain underutilized in the hill areas of Manipur. Monsang urged participants to clearly differentiate between constitutional rights and customary laws and to advocate for justice and equality with knowledge and confidence.<\/p>\n

Delivering the keynote address, Smt. W. Phajatombi Devi noted that leadership does not necessarily require high academic qualifications, as every woman possesses inherent leadership potential. Representing 20 different Naga villages, the participants were encouraged to share the insights gained from the workshop with women in their respective communities, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.<\/p>\n

She appealed to the participants to empower others not just through words but through concrete actions and exemplary leadership. She also reminded them that the Women\u2019s Commission exists solely to safeguard women\u2019s rights and promote their empowerment.<\/p>\n

During the technical session, Zeena Singh presented on the topic \u201cShe Leads; Strengthening Soft Skills for Stronger Leadership.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
