The Diamond Jubilee Celebration<\/strong> of Akashvani Imphal <\/strong>was held today at the City Convention Centre, marking 60 years of the station\u2019s dedicated service to the people of Manipur and the nation. Hon\u2019ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

As part of the celebration, the Governor released the Diamond Jubilee Souvenir and presented citations to officers of Akashvani Imphal and sponsors of the event. The ceremony was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Bajpai, Director General of Akashvani Shri Rajiv Kumar Jain, Additional Director General (NEZ) Shri Satyajeet Dash, and senior State Government officials.<\/p>\n

Congratulating the Akashvani Imphal family, Governor Bhalla praised the institution\u2019s six decades of distinguished service since its inception on August 15, 1963<\/strong>. He commended its vital role in promoting national integration, preserving Manipur\u2019s cultural heritage, and amplifying voices from remote regions through broadcasts in multiple local dialects.<\/p>\n

He also lauded Akashvani Imphal\u2019s professionalism and innovation in public broadcasting, including its pioneering efforts in digital outreach such as 24×7 YouTube live streaming. With more than 22 national awards, the Governor said, Akashvani Imphal stands as a model of excellence and commitment in media service.<\/p>\n
