{"id":5882,"date":"2025-11-21T21:55:58","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/?p=5882"},"modified":"2026-01-19T05:18:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T05:18:33","slug":"seven-arrested-in-phayeng-bazar-for-illicit-liquor-manufacturing-large-quantities-of-equipment-seized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/21\/seven-arrested-in-phayeng-bazar-for-illicit-liquor-manufacturing-large-quantities-of-equipment-seized\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven Arrested in Phayeng Bazar for Illicit Liquor Manufacturing; Large Quantities of Equipment Seized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manipur Police arrested seven individuals on 20 November 2025 for allegedly running an <strong>illicit liquor manufacturing operation<\/strong> at Phayeng Bazar in Imphal West district.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested persons have been identified as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Chingakham Bihari<\/strong> of<strong> Kadamtala, Dibong, Jiribam district<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Madhav Lahon<\/strong> of<strong> Borbali Gaon, Dibrugarh, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Chandan Lahon<\/strong> of<strong> Barbeel, Dibrugarh, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Bimal Neog of Gelua, Dhemaji, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Buddheswar Neog<\/strong> of<strong> Dibrugarh, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hemanta Neog<\/strong> of<strong> Dhemaji, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tilak Neog<\/strong> of<strong> Geluba, Dhemaji, Assam<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Police seized a large quantity of materials used for illegal liquor production, including multiple 200-litre steel drums filled with alcohol-like liquid, bottling machines, pressure gauges, plastic drums containing alcohol-scented liquid, empty barrels and bottles, label stickers printed with \u201c<strong>McDowell<\/strong>,\u201d and bundles of small carton boxes printed with <strong>\u201cIconiq\u201d<\/strong> and \u201c<strong>McDowell<\/strong>.\u201d Various chemicals and a packet of bottle covers with <strong>\u201cMcDowell\u201d<\/strong> branding were also recovered.<\/p>\n<p>A red mini-truck used for transporting the materials was impounded.
