Dinesh Singh<\/strong>, IAS, Principal Secretary (MAHUD), attended as Chief Guest. He highlighted challenges faced by Manipur, including recurring urban floods, rising air pollution and increasing pressure on urban services. He stressed the need for sustainable planning to make towns cleaner and more resilient.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5910\" src=\"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/Ichel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/DSC1305-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ITPI President <strong>Tpr. Pradeep Kumar<\/strong> noted that this was the first ITPI event hosted in Manipur and said the chosen themes are crucial for the North East, especially amid climate-related risks such as landslides and flooding.<\/p>\n<p>A book titled <strong>Hill Area Planning<\/strong> was released during the event.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5914\" src=\"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/Ichel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/DSC1317-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three technical sessions were held, featuring speakers from Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, SPA Delhi, CSE New Delhi and NIT Patna. The sessions covered regulatory reforms, walking and cycling infrastructure, and strategies for climate adaptation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5915\" src=\"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/Ichel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/DSC1357-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The valedictory function was addressed by <strong>Shri Thokchom Kirankumar<\/strong>, IAS, Secretary (LR &amp; IT), while<strong> Tpr. Nepram Gitkumar Singh<\/strong> proposed the vote of thanks.
