Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, attended as Chief Guest. Medical Superintendent Prof. N. Sanjib Singh presided over the event, while Former PMR HOD and former National President of IAPMR Prof. Kunjabasi Wangjam, and current PMR HOD Prof. L. Nilachandra Singh, attended as Guests of Honour.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6136\" src=\"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/Ichel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSC_2771-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In his address, Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma highlighted the need to build a barrier-free environment and reaffirmed RIMS\u2019 commitment to strengthening rehabilitation services. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among healthcare professionals, institutions, and the community to ensure dignity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The observance also featured the introduction and felicitation of two national achievers with disabilities for their contributions and achievements. Prof. Kunjabasi Wangjam was also honoured for his distinguished service and leadership in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6137\" src=\"https:\/\/ichelnewsnetwork.com\/Ichel\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSC_2834-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Certificates and prizes for painting competition winners were distributed, and jury members were felicitated. An art exhibition by the Welfare Association for the Blind, Manipur, Takyel, showcased creative works by visually impaired artists.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was attended by the Deputy Director (Admn), Dean (Academics), Heads of Departments, the Principal of the College of Nursing, CAO\/FA, faculty members, nursing officials, staff and students of RIMS.
