\nA coordinated team comprising the Senapati Forest Department, the Executive Magistrate (SDC Senapati), and the Senapati District Police, led by SDPO Senapati, carried out a significant poppy destruction drive at the extreme border of the Makuilongdi jungle under the jurisdiction of Senapati Police Station.<\/p>\n
The operation resulted in the destruction of approximately 8.6 acres of poppy fields, which were in the early flowering stage. Following the operation, authorities registered a case at the Senapati Police Station and initiated an investigation into the illegal cultivation.<\/p>\n
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh praised the joint efforts on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the importance of tackling such illegal activities.
