87-Year-Old Woman Rescued by NDRF After SOS Alert
An 87-year-old woman, R.K. Ibemnungshi, was successfully evacuated to safety following a coordinated rescue effort initiated after an SOS message was received by the Director of Information and Public Relations (IPR).
Due to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) being fully engaged in operations at other locations, the SOS alert was promptly forwarded to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The elderly woman had been under the care of R.K. Indira at Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Lane 5B, near the Community Hall, Ayang Pali. The immediate neighbour, Athokpam Ahen, son of Deven, also assisted in alerting authorities.
Responding swiftly, the NDRF team reached the location and safely evacuated R.K. Ibemnungshi, ensuring her transfer to a secure location.

OLA Oath-Taking Ceremony Held at Kongba Shoudongpung Lampak

NIA Case Accused Arrested in Thoubal
Imphal, May 1: Security forces arrested Waikhom Rohit Singh alias Phurupngakpa (33) of Thoubal Pakhangkhong Leirak, Thoubal District. He is an accused in a case registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Imphal. Further legal proceedings are underway.

Serial Offender Arrested for Multiple Mob-Related Incidents in Manipur
Imphal, May 1: Manipur Police have arrested Sinthangamba Konsham Mangang (25) of Heirok Part III, Kabo Leikai, Thoubal District. He is a serial offender linked to several mob-related incidents across the state, including attacks on the SP Thoubal Office, DC Thoubal Office, a case under Singjamei Police Station, and a mob incident at Keishampat in Imphal West. Investigation is ongoing.
