Jiribam Deputy Commissioner Inspects Child Care Institutions and PMAY Houses

Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS, conducted inspections of the Lairembi Sanglen Children Home and Gulamchat Chingdong Child Care Institutions at Chingdong Leikai on Tuesday as part of the district administration’s ongoing monitoring of developmental works and welfare institutions.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the children at both homes and assured them of continued support from the district administration in coordination with the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Jiribam. He also directed the DCPO to ensure regular health check-ups for the children in collaboration with the Health Department, highlighting the importance of health and well-being.

The DC further inspected houses being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) at Chingdong Leikai and Lakhipur. He interacted with the beneficiaries and expressed satisfaction over the timely progress of construction under both schemes.
