Kakching Holds Jan Sunwai to Strengthen Transparency in PM POSHAN 2025-26

A Jan Sunwai (public hearing) under the Social Audit 2025-26 of the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) Scheme was held today at Keirak Upper Primary School, Kakching District. The programme was organised by the PM Poshan Section of the Zonal Educational Office (ZEO), Kakching.

The event was graced by Shri Mayanglambam Rakesh, ZEO Kakching; Shri Ch. Milan, DRDA, Langmeidong CD Block; Dr. Sangita, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Kakching; Shri Parhai Samuel, Food Safety Administration Kakching; Sushila, Social Auditor, and Elangbam Shanti Leima, former Pradhan of Keirak Gram Panchayat.

Around 60 participants attended the programme, including parents, members of the School Management Committee (SMC), and officials from ZEO and other line departments such as Food Safety, RBSK, and DRDA. The event included an interactive session where parents, SMC members, and officials discussed concerns and feedback regarding the implementation of the PM POSHAN Scheme.

The Social Audit aims to promote transparency and accountability in the execution of the scheme by educating people about their rights and entitlements. It also provides a platform for the community to express needs and grievances, ensures people’s participation at all stages of implementation, and enhances the capacity of local stakeholders involved in the audit process.
