Manipur Police Arrest Two Teachers in COHSEM Physics Exam Paper Leak
Manipur Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the recent leakage of the Physics question paper for the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) examination. The case, registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, led to a swift investigation, resulting in the identification and apprehension of those responsible.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Maibam Sunil Singh, a 33-year-old Physics teacher at Paradise English School, Thoubal, who also served as an Assistant Officer-in-Charge (AOC) at an examination center and operated a private hostel. The second accused, Ningombam Jagdish Singh, also 33, was a Chemistry teacher at the same school. Both were taken into custody on March 3 and March 4, 2025, respectively, following due legal procedures.
During the arrests, police seized incriminating evidence, including mobile phones, from their possession. Authorities have assured that the investigation will continue to ensure that the integrity of the examination process is upheld. Manipur Police reaffirmed their commitment to taking all necessary measures to maintain a fair and transparent system for students.
