MoS for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar Visits Noney, Reviews Developmental Projects
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, visited Noney District Headquarters in Manipur on Tuesday and held a review meeting with district officials to assess the progress of various schemes and projects.
The Minister was received by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS, and Superintendent of Police Shri Namsadai Peter Kamei, along with other officials, at the Longmai Common Ground, which served as a temporary helipad.
Following his arrival, the MoS inspected stalls set up by different departments showcasing ongoing developmental activities in the district. He then chaired a detailed review meeting with the DC, SP, and District Level Officers (DLOs), where he was briefed about the implementation status of central and state-sponsored schemes.








Officials from several departments shared their challenges and sought intervention from the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure smoother execution of developmental initiatives in the region.
As part of the visit, the Minister also interacted with local leaders, self-help groups, and community members. A sapling plantation drive and a visit to the world’s highest railway pier bridge at Noney were also included in the day’s programme.
The review meeting and interaction programme were attended by officials and staff from Noney and Tamenglong districts.
