RIMS Submits Internal Inquiry Report on L. Khusi Sanjenbam Case to MHRC, Urges Public Not to Circulate Unverified Information
The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has submitted the internal inquiry report regarding the unfortunate demise of 12-year-old L. Khusi Sanjenbam to the Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC).
The RIMS administration stated that the inquiry was conducted thoroughly and in line with standard medical protocols. While the family of the deceased has raised concerns that the report presented a one-sided perspective, RIMS emphasized that the investigation followed established procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.
The MHRC has now referred the matter to the Independent State Inquiry Committee for further examination. Until the State Committee completes its investigation and the MHRC delivers its final verdict, RIMS has urged the public, social media users, and concerned parties not to circulate unverified information or make comments that could affect the morale of medical staff. The institute also warned that legal action may be taken against the propagation of unfounded allegations.
RIMS reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, patient safety, and maintaining professional medical standards.
