Update on Power Outage: Moijing Leishangthem Feeder Restoration Work Underway
The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has issued an update regarding the ongoing power outage affecting the Moijing Leishangthem Feeder area.
According to the official statement released on social media today, efforts to restore electricity supply on June 2 were unsuccessful due to a circuit breaker failure that occurred around 11:00 PM. The feeder is currently facing multiple technical issues, including spout insulator damage, faulty current transformers (CTs), and breaker malfunctions.
Restoration work is actively underway. A new 11 kV panel is being procured from the 400/132/33/11 kV Thoubal Khunou Substation. Meanwhile, testing and dismantling operations are in progress at the site.
The MSPDCL substation team remains on-site and is coordinating closely with the Manipur State Power Corporation Limited (MSPCL) to expedite repairs.
Despite these efforts, areas served by the Moijing Leishangthem Feeder continue to experience power outages. MSPDCL has assured the public that all possible measures are being taken to restore electricity at the earliest.
The company appeals for patience and cooperation from the affected communities during this period.
