Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Meeting with CMs, LGs of Border States Post Operation Sindoor Success
New Delhi, May 7: Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a crucial meeting with the Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of border states adjoining Pakistan and Nepal in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting came following the historic success of Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory mission hailed as a befitting response by Indian forces.
All attending leaders extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian armed forces for their swift and decisive action, reaffirming national unity in the fight against terrorism.
During the meeting, Home Minister Shah emphasized the importance of maintaining the availability of essential goods and services across the states. He directed officials to keep relief and rescue teams like SDRF, Civil Defence, Home Guards, and NCC on high alert to respond promptly to any emergency.
The Home Minister also issued strict instructions to monitor and curb anti-national propaganda across all media platforms, calling for swift action to prevent misinformation and maintain peace. Further, he stressed the need for seamless communication and enhanced security at vulnerable border points.
The meeting highlights the Centre’s proactive approach to national security and internal stability amid heightened tensions along India’s borders.
