DGP Felicitates Manipur Police Personnel for Medal Wins at Asian Masters Athletics Championship
Director General of Police, Manipur, Shri Rajiv Singh, IPS, today felicitated seven Manipur Police personnel who brought laurels to the State by winning medals at the 23rd Asian Masters Athletics Championship held at J.N. Stadium, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from November 5 to 9, 2025.
The personnel honoured for their achievements are:
- Dy. CO 3 IRB W. Thoiba Singh, MPS – Bronze Medal in Pole Vault (Men 50+).
- Inspector TBL CDO Md. Imtiyaz Rehman – Bronze Medal in 500 metres race (Men 40+).
- W/SI L. Bembem Devi (BPR District Police, attached to CID(SB)) – 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal in 200m Steeplechase, Triple Jump, and Pole Vault (Women 45+).
- W/SI Th. Radhesana Devi (BPR District Police, attached to Cyber Crime PS) – 1 Gold and 4 Silver Medals in 4x100m Relay, 100m Race, 80m Hurdles, Long Jump and 400m Hurdles (Women 45+).
-  HC/IW N. Brajamani Singh – Bronze Medal in 5 km Walking Race (Men 45+).
-  HC K. Romeshchandra Singh (8 IRB, attached to CID(SB)) – Silver Medal in Long Jump (Men 35+).
-  Rifleman/3 IRB S. Somananda Singh – Bronze Medal in Long Jump (Men 40+).
The DGP congratulated the athletes for their outstanding performance, stating that their achievements have not only elevated the reputation of Manipur Police but also inspired fellow personnel to strive for excellence in both professional and sporting fields.
He encouraged all officers and personnel to continue pursuing a healthy lifestyle and to participate actively in sports and fitness activities.
