Expired Drug Licences: Manipur Health Directorate Issues 7-Day Renewal Ultimatum
Imphal, March 25, 2025 — The Drugs Control Administration under the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, has issued a stern notice to all wholesale medical stores and retail pharmacies whose drug licences have been expired for more than six months.
According to the official notice dated March 25, 2025, concerned parties have been given a 7-day window to renew their licences. Failure to comply within the stipulated period will result in strict actions as per the provisions of the Drugs Act, 1940, and Drugs Rule, 1945.
Licensing & Controlling Authority S. Baleshwar Singh, who signed the notice, emphasized that non-renewal beyond the deadline will make the defaulters liable for legal consequences.
