Five Arrested for Display of Arms During Football Match in Kangpokpi: Manipur Police

Manipur Police have arrested five individuals in connection with a viral video that surfaced on social media platforms, including YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook. The video showed a group of 10 to 15 individuals, some dressed in camouflage attire and others in football kits, holding sophisticated firearms at K. Gamnomphai Village Ground during an ongoing football match in Saitu Sub-Division, under G. Saparmeina Police Station in Kangpokpi District.

The police identified the arrested individuals as Mangtinlen Kipgen @ Baemang (26), Mangtinlen Kipgen (24), Seithenmang Kipgen (28), Lunminsei Kipgen (21), and Lunkhogin Kipgen (24). The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation into the incident, which has raised serious security concerns.
