Five Individuals Apprehended for Public Nuisance at Japhou Bazar, Chandel

Chandel, May 30, 2025: On May 30, 2025, at approximately 9:10 PM, five individuals were apprehended at Japhou Bazar in Chandel for allegedly causing public nuisance and disturbing the peace under the influence of alcohol. The incident prompted swift action by law enforcement personnel from Chandel Police Station.

A Non-FIR case (No. 3/CDL-PS/2025) was registered in connection with the incident on the same date. The individuals were taken into custody and necessary legal formalities were carried out at the police station.

Subsequently, all five individuals were produced before the Executive Magistrate for bound down proceedings under Section 128 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
