Four Killed, Six Injured in Tragic Road Accident at Poi Village, Ukhrul

Ukhrul, March 8, 2025 – In a devastating road accident at Poi Village in Ukhrul district, Manipur, four people lost their lives while six others sustained injuries. The victims, including church leaders and members, were traveling in a Bolero Camper when the tragic mishap occurred.

According to local reports, the accident took place due to poor road conditions, which have long been a concern for residents of the area. The Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL), a prominent local student body, has strongly condemned the authorities for their negligence and urged immediate action to improve road infrastructure in the region.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities have yet to provide an official statement regarding the cause of the accident, but locals claim that the dilapidated roads pose a serious risk to commuters.
