Governor Leads Constitution Day Observance at MSFDS
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today attended the Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) observance at the Palace Auditorium of the Manipur State Film Development Society, Palace Compound. The event, held under the theme “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman”, marked the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.
The Governor led the gathering in reading the Preamble and underscored the enduring values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. In his address, he recalled the vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and members of the Constituent Assembly, stressing the importance of constitutional morality, rule of law and the duty of every citizen—particularly the youth—to uphold democratic principles.


He noted the resilience of the people of Manipur and highlighted youth-driven contributions in education, sports, arts and entrepreneurship as reflections of constitutional ideals in action. He urged citizens to strengthen unity, reject violence and protect the dignity and rights of all communities.
Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, MP (Rajya Sabha) Leishemba Sanajaoba, MLAs, the Chief Secretary, Security Advisor, senior officials, teachers and students were present at the observance.
