Governor of Manipur Emphasizes National Unity at Experience Sharing Program

Imphal, March 28, 2025: The Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, attended the National Integration Tour – 2025 Experience Sharing Program at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today. The event provided a platform for students from different districts of Manipur to share their experiences from their educational tour across various cities in India.

During the program, students highlighted their exposure to India’s diverse cultures, cuisines, and historical monuments. Addressing the gathering, Governor Bhalla emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering national unity and cultural understanding. He stated that firsthand experiences of different traditions and lifestyles help instill a sense of inclusivity and appreciation for India’s rich heritage.

The Governor also underscored the significance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, which aims to promote cultural exchange and strengthen national bonds through state and Union Territory pairings. He advocated for the expansion of similar programs, suggesting a two-way exchange where students from other parts of India could visit Manipur and other northeastern states to further deepen national integration.

The event concluded with an interactive session between the Governor and the students, where they reflected on their learnings and experiences from the tour.
