GOVERNOR REVIEWS ONGOING INDO-MYANMAR BORDER FENCING WORKS
Governor of Manipur Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla today reviewed the progress of the ongoing border-fencing works along the Indo-Myanmar border during a meeting held at the Conference Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
Senior officials of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), including the Additional Director General Border Roads (East) and the Commanding Officer of 25 BRTF, briefed the Governor on the current status of the construction, operational challenges, security concerns and communication issues affecting the project. They also placed key recommendations to ensure faster and smoother execution of the remaining work.


The Governor appreciated the progress achieved so far and assured that the government will extend all necessary support to address the issues raised by the BRO.
The review meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, DGP, Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioners and senior officers from the BRO and Assam Rifles. Deputy Commissioners of the border districts also took part in the meeting.
