JOINT TRIBES COUNCIL SUBMITS MEMORANDA TO GOVERNOR AT RAJ BHAVAN
Members of the Joint Tribes Council, Manipur, called on the Governor of Manipur at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, on Wednesday and submitted memoranda outlining the collective concerns and aspirations of the tribes they represent.
The delegation raised a wide range of issues, including matters related to the celebration of the 18th State Level Orange Festival. They also urged the Governor to facilitate the timely resumption of the Imphal–Kangchup–Tamenglong road project, which they said is crucial for connectivity and economic activities in the region.

The council further appealed for improved public transport services, enhanced infrastructure development and better implementation of essential government schemes in Tamenglong district. They highlighted the need to address stagnant projects and service gaps affecting the daily lives of local communities.
They emphasized the importance of strengthened connectivity, efficient public services and continued support for cultural and economic initiatives. The Governor informed the delegation about the steps already taken to resolve the issues raised.
