KCP (Noyon) Cadre Arrested for Extortion in Imphal East

Manipur Police have arrested a cadre of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-Noyon) involved in extortion activities across various sectors. The accused, identified as Leimapokpam Sanjit Meitei, also known as Naobi (54), was apprehended from Khurai Thoudam Leikai near the crematorium under Porompat Police Station, Imphal East District.

According to police reports, the arrestee was actively extorting money from the general public, government officials, hospitals, government schools, and petrol pumps. During the operation, law enforcement officers seized a mobile phone and a two-wheeler from his possession.
