Lions Clubs Hold Diabetes Awareness & Detection Camp in Imphal
As part of the One District One Activity initiative and the global observance of World Diabetes Day 2025, five Lions Clubs under District 322D — Imphal Valley, Imphal Valley NextGen, Imphal Global, Imphal North and Imphal Northern Hemisphere — jointly organised a “Diabetes Awareness & Detection” camp today.
The free health camp was conducted at Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Achanbigei, Imphal East, and saw participation from over 80 residents who availed screening and diagnostic services. Three doctors, along with staff nurses and ASHA workers of the health centre, led the programme, focusing on early detection, preventive care and lifestyle awareness related to diabetes.



The Lions Clubs expressed gratitude to the medical team, ASHA workers and volunteers for their support, reaffirming the district’s commitment to public health and community welfare.
Under the leadership of Lion Prof. Nongmaithem Romi Singh, PMJF, GMT District Coordinator–I, a Super Mega Health Camp is scheduled for December 7, 2025, at Ima Keithel, Imphal. More than 10 specialists and over 30 medical staff will offer a wide range of free services aimed especially at women vendors and the general public.
