Loktak HE Project Head Briefs Manipur Governor on Infrastructure Progress

Imphal, 26 March 2025:

Shri Upendra Hajra, Head of Project, Loktak Hydro Electric (HE) Project, Manipur, called on the Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, Imphal today to discuss the ongoing infrastructure development initiatives under the project.

During the meeting, Hajra provided an update on the current status and recent progress of the project. He noted that the pace of execution has significantly improved over the past few months and expressed optimism about the ongoing developments. However, he also sought the Governor’s support in addressing key challenges and expediting certain processes essential for the timely completion of the project.

Governor Bhalla acknowledged the concerns raised and assured Hajra that he would review the matters and extend all possible support to ensure smooth advancement of the infrastructure initiatives.

The Loktak HE Project is considered a key component in the region’s energy infrastructure and economic growth plans, and today’s discussion marks a step forward in its successful execution.
