Manipur Government Declares Cheiraoba and Eid as Working Days for Financial Year Closure

Imphal, March 27, 2025 – The Government of Manipur has announced that March 29, 30, and 31, 2025, which include the festivals of Cheiraoba and Eid (Id-ul-Fitr), will be observed as working days for government offices, autonomous bodies, institutions, corporations, societies, boards, and other entities related to treasury operations. This decision, issued by the General Administration Department (Records & Library Section), aims to ensure a smooth closure of the Financial Year 2024-2025.

According to the official order (No. LIB-101/2/2025-GAD-GAD), March 29 (Saturday), March 30 (Shaibu Nongmapanba/Cheiraoba, a Sunday), and March 31 (Id-ul-Fitr, a Monday) will be operational for government offices and public/private sector banks in the state. The move is intended to facilitate the completion of financial transactions and administrative tasks before the fiscal year ends.
