MPSC Cancels GS-III and GS-IV Papers After Question Mix-Up in Civil Services Mains Exam
The Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2022, which began on November 7 and was scheduled to conclude today, faced a major setback after a mix-up in question papers led to the cancellation of both General Studies Paper-III and Paper-IV.

According to reports, candidates appearing for the morning session at both Imphal and Guwahati centres were mistakenly given the question paper for GS-IV instead of GS-III. The error was detected soon after the examination began, leading to confusion among aspirants.
Following the incident, the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) promptly decided to cancel both the GS-III and GS-IV examinations scheduled for today. The Commission has assured candidates that fresh dates for the cancelled papers will be announced by this evening.
The MCS Mains Examination 2022, which is being conducted across two centres — Imphal and Guwahati — is a crucial stage in the state’s premier civil services recruitment process. Candidates have expressed disappointment over the administrative lapse, urging the Commission to ensure transparency and fairness in the rescheduled examination.
Further updates from the MPSC are awaited.
