NDRF Aids Marriage Ceremony Amid Floods in Imphal

Imphal, Manipur – Imphal is currently facing severe floods after days of relentless rainfall, submerging roads, homes, and markets across various parts of the city. As the floodwaters continue to rise, normal life has come to a standstill, with many important events disrupted—including marriage ceremonies.

In a heartwarming gesture, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) came to the aid of one such stranded wedding in Nongmeibung, Imphal. The NDRF team used a rescue boat to safely transport the bride and family members through flooded streets, allowing the ceremony to take place despite the crisis.

With several weddings postponed or cancelled due to the situation, this act of support by the NDRF has brought a moment of joy and hope to many.
