PSOs Detached from Former CM’s Detail, Ordered to Return to Parent Units

Imphal, 27 May 2025 – Security arrangements for former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh continue under official police procedures, months after his resignation on February 9 and the subsequent imposition of President’s Rule in the state on February 13.

According to a recent directive from the police, Singh has been designated under a security category warranting protection. Six personal security officers (PSOs) will remain attached to him until further instructions are issued.

Meanwhile, other security personnel previously assigned to him have been withdrawn and directed to return to their respective units.
