RIMS Conducts Swachhta Health Camp for Pensioners in Imphal
The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a Swachhta Health Camp today at the Manipur State Pensioner Union Building, Pishumthong, Imphal West, under the Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) 2025–26. The programme was held in collaboration with the Manipur State Pensioner Union.
The camp was led by Prof. Y. Govindaraj Singh, Department of Physiology and Nodal Officer, SAP 2025–26/Kaya Kalp, RIMS. A team of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals from Medicine, Orthopaedics, Respiratory Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Physiology and Community Medicine offered medical consultations and services. Around 70 pensioners and senior citizens received free check-ups and medicines.


Participants also interacted with Prof. Govindaraj Singh, who addressed various health-related queries.
General Secretary of the Manipur State Pensioner Union, Shri Purojit Laiyengbam, thanked RIMS for its proactive outreach and expressed interest in organising similar programmes in future. The Union conveyed its gratitude to RIMS for extending essential healthcare services to pensioners and the community.
