Security Forces Clear 6 Acres of Poppy in Senapati Operation

Security Forces, in coordination with the Forest Department, destroyed around six acres of illegal poppy cultivation at the hill range of Ngamju under Purul Police Station in Senapati district on Thursday.

During the operation, teams conducted a thorough search of the area and cleared the illicit plantation spread across the remote hill slopes. The joint drive aimed at curbing poppy cultivation and preventing further exploitation of forest land for illegal activities.

Authorities stated that similar operations will continue across vulnerable locations to control drug-related activities in the state.
