COHSEM Issues Notification for Class XII Practical Examination 2026

The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) has issued a notification announcing the schedule and guidelines for the Higher Secondary Practical Examination (Class XII), 2026. The practical examinations will be conducted before the theory examinations, which are scheduled to be held in January 2026.

According to the notification, the submission of the tentative timetable or programme for the Higher Secondary Practical Examination, along with the list of subject-wise internal examiners, is to be completed between November 10 and December 10, 2025.

Collection of practical confidential papers from the Controller of Examinations will be done three days ahead of the scheduled practical examination. The conduct of the practical examination, after obtaining approval from the Council, will take place from January 2 to January 31, 2026.

Schools are required to fill in and upload the practical marks of students in their respective login credentials on the Council’s website between January 3 and February 2, 2026, while the last date for uploading practical marks on the Council’s website is February 3, 2026.

Furthermore, the practical answer khattas along with hard copies of the practical marks slips must be submitted to the Controller of Examinations, COHSEM, on or before February 5, 2026.

A user manual for uploading marks is available on the Council’s website, https://cohsemmanipur.nic.in. The Council has also directed that in subjects with fewer than ten candidates, such students will be attached to another institution as arranged by COHSEM.
