Governor of Manipur Urges Citizens to Surrender Illegal Arms for Peace

Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has issued a strong appeal to the people of the state, urging them to voluntarily surrender looted and illegally held weapons within the next seven days. The call comes amid ongoing efforts to restore peace and normalcy following nearly 20 months of unrest affecting both the valley and hill regions.

In an official statement, the Governor highlighted the immense hardships faced by the people due to a series of unfortunate incidents that have disrupted communal harmony. Stressing the need for an end to hostilities, he encouraged all communities, especially the youth, to play a proactive role in maintaining peace and order.
