Security Forces Arrest 13 KYKL Cadres in Bishnupur, Recover Arms and Tactical Gear

In a major crackdown on insurgent activities, security forces arrested 13 active members of the banned militant outfit KYKL from Moirang Kiyam Leikai under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district. The arrested individuals have been identified as Khwairakpam Rojit alias Chingsanglakpa Singh, Kongkham Hemlet alias Thoungamba Singh, Leishangthem Amarjit alias Nongpok Nganba Singh, Khwairakpam Bikram alias Rex Singh, Soiban Deepak Singh, Laishram Indrakumar alias Boi alias Nganba Meitei, Konthoujam Swamajit alias Thoujan Singh, Heisnam Premananda alias Rocky Meitei, Khundongbam Nimai Singh, Naorem Amarjit alias Thanil Singh, Abujam Ringku alias Thawairakpa Meitei, Moirangthem Inao alias Robin Singh, and Huirongbam Ibomcha alias Athoi alias Pammel Meitei.

Security forces also recovered a significant cache of arms and tactical equipment from the arrested cadres. The seized items include live ammunition of various calibers, walkie-talkies along with chargers, jungle boots, mobile phones, camouflage clothing, and other tactical accessories. The recovered ammunition comprises 14 rounds of 5.56 mm x 45 mm, six rounds of 7.62 mm x 39 mm, and seven rounds of 7.62 mm x 51 mm. Additionally, three walkie-talkies with four chargers, 31 pairs of jungle boots, and nine mobile phones were confiscated.
