Deadline Extended for ST Pre & Post-Matric Scholarship Applications: Tribal Affairs & Hills Directorate Issues Fresh Notification

Imphal, March 26, 2025:

The Directorate of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Government of Manipur, has officially extended the last date for online document submission for ST Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships for the academic year 2024–2025. The new deadline for defective application verification, institute verification, and DNO/SNO verification is now April 8, 2025, as per Notification No. 12/PMS-FORMS/2022-TA&H dated 03.09.2024.

The extension applies to both Pre-Matric and Post-Matric categories, and students are advised to ensure that their applications are verified at all levels before the new deadline.

The notification also includes important instructions for students seeking hostel benefits. If college hostels are unavailable, students may stay in approved private accommodations, provided they obtain a certification from their institution head confirming their stay.

Students are warned that applications lacking proper certification or submitted by ineligible institutions like EMRS and JNVs will be summarily rejected. Institutes are also mandated to be registered in the AISHE/UDISE database for students to be eligible for the scholarship.

The Directorate emphasized the importance of using the unique mobile number, email ID, login ID, and password consistently during the application process via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

All concerned students, heads of institutions, and verification officers have been urged to complete the process within the extended timeline.
