Government Conducts Aerial Survey of Flood-Hit Areas in Imphal East
31st May 2025, Imphal — Top officials from the Home Department, Police, and Relief & Disaster Management today carried out an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Imphal East district. Using a helicopter, the team was able to get a detailed overview of the most severely impacted regions. This helped them evaluate the scale of the destruction and identify the immediate needs of those affected.
The inspection is part of the State Government’s comprehensive strategy to tackle the ongoing flood crisis. Authorities are working around the clock to contain the situation and provide relief. Coordination is underway across all relevant departments and agencies to ensure timely delivery of aid and rehabilitation support. Priority is being given to essential services like drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and emergency shelters.
With Manipur experiencing continuous heavy rainfall, Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to remain on high alert, deliver relief assistance promptly, and address any landslides that may occur.
