Manipur Police Confirms Safe Arrival and Burial of Air India Crash Victim Lamnunthem Singson

Manipur Police has officially confirmed that the mortal remains of the late Miss Lamnunthem Singson, one of the cabin crew members from Manipur who tragically lost her life in the Air India Flight 171 crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, were laid to rest today at the Kangpokpi cemetery, Mission Road.

According to the police statement, a large number of mourners gathered at the cemetery to pay their final respects. The last rites were conducted peacefully and with dignity. Adequate security measures were in place to ensure smooth proceedings during the solemn occasion.

Manipur Police also stated that they had received the mortal remains of the deceased at Dimapur Airport, where family members were also present. A police team accompanied the family throughout the journey back to Kangpokpi.
