Leader of AMU–Alumni Association of Manipur Invited as Guest of Honour for Sir Syed Day Celebration at Aligarh

The AMU–Alumni Association of Manipur (AMU–AAM) has proudly announced that Md. Riyajuddin Shah, MPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Tamenglong, and Founding Chairman of AMU–AAM, has been invited as the Guest of Honour for the upcoming Sir Syed Day Celebration to be held at Alama Iqbal Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on 17th October 2025.

The prestigious event will be hosted by Mohd Mustapha, Provost of Alama Iqbal Hall, AMU, who is also an alumnus of AMU–Alumni Association of Manipur. Notably, Mohd Mustapha is the first Manipuri to hold the position of Provost in AMU’s history.

The Sir Syed Day Celebration commemorates the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the visionary founder of Aligarh Muslim University, whose contributions laid the foundation for modern education and social reform in India.

The AMU–Alumni Association of Manipur extended warm greetings and best wishes to all alumni and well-wishers on the occasion of Sir Syed Day 2025, celebrating the enduring legacy of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and his mission of education, enlightenment, and unity.
