It addressed women and girls staying in relief camps, urging them not to lose hope, and called upon authorities and government officials to work earnestly to help displaced families return home. The KMWO further expressed the hope that the bond between Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities will grow even stronger with love and peace through this festival.
The Manipur Meitei-Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO), in a press note signed by its Secretary General, MMWO-HQ, Firoj Khan Sangomsumbam, also extended warm greetings to the people. The organisation wished that with the arrival of Ningol Chakouba, celebrated since ancient times, the Creator blesses the State with lasting peace and unity.
